2013 Calendar images

I love old things and when it was suggested to me, to make a calendar, I thought that could be my challenge for the year.

Once I decided on a subject to paint, friends would often tell me about an old wreck under a tree or in a paddock somewhere or I’d make regular trips out to the Vintage Car Club, to find some lovely old cars and trucks from a by-gone-era. These old rust buckets were all found around the Canterbury area. They deteriorated quickly over the 6 months I spent painting them. Some were used for parts and so a door or a bonnet could be missing before I could finish painting them.

A limited run of 200 calendars was printed, which sold very quickly.
